Day 7 - 1 down, 2 to go! I had a good day.

Hi there and welcome to my day that was good.

Not many people would think that the day of an exam can ever be a good day but mine was.

Here's the things that made my day a good one:

  • It is my little brother's 10th birthday and he had a good day which made me happy.
  • I put my textbooks up for secondhand sale so hopefully I'll get some good money which would make me happy.
  • The lady at the secondhand shop was so nice and friendly which also made me happy.
  • I went into my exam nerve-free, finished early and left confident which made me happy.
  • I then caught up with my good friend, who I hadn't seen all semester, for dinner at Nandos which was  lovely and super yummy, so yeah, I was happy.
  • My friend, Reene, told about a cookies and cream cheesecake by saying, "it is $6 of happiness and joy", so I bought it.
  • I finally got home to a package from Beginning Boutique with my new Rhythm bikini top and I am so happy with my purchase!
  • And it is only 9 days till I go home!

So you could say I had a pretty great day, but only because I focussed on the positives. I didn't dwell on the fact I got attacked AGAIN by the bird TWICE or that I arrived two hours early to my exam or that I am well over my fortnightly budget after dinner and cake.

But life is too short to be negative.

So anyway, how was your day? I hope it was a good one.

Ugh, this post is so cheesy I could vomit... Haha

Comment below and let me know if you are having a good day, a bad day or an in-between day. We all have 'em!

P.S: just want to say it one more time, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC! Love ya

Day 6 - Pre-exam cram

Hi there and welcome to my day of pre-exam cramming.

I tried it all today folks! I studied inside, I studied outside, I created flash cards, I re-wrote notes, I answered review questions... Now all I can do is trust my efforts and turn up at the exam tomorrow.

Just the feeling of relief is going to be fabulous! This time tomorrow it will be 1 down, 2 to go.

My pre-exam rituals are just like every night, keeping the stress/anxiety levels down. Tonight I have had a lovely dinner and after I write this I am off for a shower before I cuddle into bed to watch a movie. An early night is important!

So is being organised. My Frankie Magazine Daily Journal is the cutest planner you will ever see which makes it more fun to be organised. Awesome gift this festival season. You can order them here. I hope Santa brings me one!

So I have decided tonights movie is going to be Divergent because I still haven't seen it! My little sister read all the books in about two days so I am assuming it is good? I'll let you know!

Oh and as well as my exam, it is also another birthday tomorrow! My little brother, Isaac, will be turning 10! Big ol' double digits! Wish I could be there buddy.

Anyway, I am off! Wish me luck!

And good luck for everyone else currently sitting exams, I feel for you!

Day 5 - Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays! And Reviewing "Love, Rosie"

Hi there and welcome to my day full of birthdays and a trip to the movies.

If you haven't seen today's previous post, today is my mum's birthday! Happy birthday again mum! It was also the birthday of two my friends. I noticed that a lot of people I know have their birthdays in the month of November...

My mum...
My brother...
My best friend...
Plus another 50 facebook "friends"...

Now, lets see... Count back 9 months... February! The month of Valentines day, join the dots people.

Anyway! Today I went to the movies with my friend Sarah for a study break. We were so excited for the movie we arrived about 20 minutes early so we got a head start on the popcorn.

We were full-on rebels and didn't even stick to our assigned seat and instead chose the ones with the provided foot rests. We spent the entire previews worrying that we stole some poor persons seat but totally got away with it... #badass

Ebony Reviews: Love, Rosie

Before watching the movie I couldn't resist watching the trailer first (click here to watch) which does give away a couple of spoilers but nothing compared to the amount of twists and turns this movie has.

This rom-com stares Lily Collins as Rosie and Sam Claflin (so hot) as Alex who are best friends from a very young age.

Although it sounds like a typical "best friends fall in love" movie, it's definitely not. I found myself saying "no way", "they can't" and "please don't" aloud in the cinema.

It is so funny, so heartwarming and so cute! But at the same time it's devastating, sad and frustrating! So what happens? Will they? Won't they? YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!

I really really loved this movie and totally recommend it!

I give it 4.5 daisies out of 5
Just because they wouldn't kiss when I told them to...

So comment what you thought of Love, Rosie or just comment if you are a November baby!

My mum

Happy birthday to my favourite person in the entire world!

My mum is my best friend, role model, inspiration and favourite person ever.

She is the funniest and kindest person I have ever met and I am so lucky to have a mum like her. Below is a photo at my graduation, my 18th birthday and my year 12 ball, all of which my mum made the effort to be by my side.

Even when she's not by my side, she has always got my back.

My mum is so caring, so selfless and so real, I aspire to be the kind of person she is.

Some of my favourite things about my mum:
  • Her sense of humour tends to have me in tears!
  • Her generosity to EVERYONE
  • Her realness
  • Her nose because we have the same nose
  • Her intense belief in karma
  • Her ability to make attractive kids (me)
  • The food she cooks
  • The way she is so grateful for everything in her life
  • And the fact that she is my mum but also bestest buddy
There is definitely more but that's all I got right now... So happy birthday silly head! Love ya! See you in 11 days!

Day 4 - Study, puppies and chocolate

Hi there and welcome to my post about study, puppies and chocolate.

Today I did lots and lots of studying! I have an exam this Monday for evidence informed health practice but I wasn't actually studying for that today. Purely because I need 9% in the exam to pass the unit and the exam is multiple choice and fill in the blank... so yeah, higher education, woo!

I was studying for my business law exam which requires a lot of studying because I need to know a heap of court cases off the top of my head. It is SO draining especially since it's really not my thang... BUT on the upside, I only in 13.8% in the exam to pass the unit.

I have never been so excited for exams just so they can be over!

Because then I can be home and cuddling our new puppies! Our family dog had puppies on halloween and their little baby eyes have just started to open! I am so excited to meet them and cuddle them! Just 12 more days! Aw just look at that little face...

Today I also watched Australia thrash South Africa in the cricket. I was doing a mixture of watching and studying and facebooking but I decided I needed chocolate.

On my way to the shop, surprise surprise, I was swooped at AGAIN! Next time I am going to try and film it... None of other housemates experience the wrath of this evil bird! Why me!

Anyway, I got my favourite chocolate snack at the moment which is milk chocolate caramels by Pascall. When I was younger, I don't know why but I always thought that caramels and eclairs were like old people lollies... So yeah, I guess that makes me old now doesn't it...

So tomorrow it is my beautiful mum's birthday yay! She is turning 37 and I bought her perfume the other day, Calvin Klein's Obsession. Even though the perfume store sold me a different perfume to what I initially smelt, Obsession is really nice and my mum appreciated it so much. I am really sad I can't be with my mum tomorrow but look out mum, appreciation post coming your way!

I am also going to the movies with my friend Sarah tomorrow to watch Love, Rosie. So I will let you know how that goes and give you a little review.
