Day 9 - Rooftop cinema

Hi there and welcome to my post about yesterdays experience at the rooftop cinema!

I didn't get the chance to post about it yesterday because it ended up being quite a late night. Well, later than I intended, that's for sure!

Earlier in the day I studied up on all my business law cases so I made some good progress!

I headed into the city to meet up with my friend, Billie. She works at the rooftop cinema and it was her night off so we got complimentary entry, drinks and food! The pizza and cider went down a treat!

The movie was Skeleton Twins with Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader and it was a very strange and heavy movie to me. I don't really have too much to say about the movie, purely because Billie and I spent virtually the entire movie catching up.

But the set up of the cinema was so amazing! It was really quirky and cute with multiple colourful caravans as the food and drink stalls.

It was like a mini carnival amongst the skyscrapers.

If you want to check out more about it click here for all their info! Totally recommend the experience to everyone.

Afterwards we headed to Billie's favourite bar called Frisk which was really nice and chilled and I met some cool people.

I caught Uber home since Perth people get to enjoy 5 free rides this week! All Perth people should definitely take advantage of this service this week, check it out.

This was the first time I had gone out for a while now and I had so much fun. It was nice to blow off some steam!

It is so exciting to realise that I'll be home in just one weeks time! Soaking up the sun, ocean and mum's food... Now that's the life!

Hope you guys have had a good week and have a fabulous weekend!

Day 6 - Pre-exam cram

Hi there and welcome to my day of pre-exam cramming.

I tried it all today folks! I studied inside, I studied outside, I created flash cards, I re-wrote notes, I answered review questions... Now all I can do is trust my efforts and turn up at the exam tomorrow.

Just the feeling of relief is going to be fabulous! This time tomorrow it will be 1 down, 2 to go.

My pre-exam rituals are just like every night, keeping the stress/anxiety levels down. Tonight I have had a lovely dinner and after I write this I am off for a shower before I cuddle into bed to watch a movie. An early night is important!

So is being organised. My Frankie Magazine Daily Journal is the cutest planner you will ever see which makes it more fun to be organised. Awesome gift this festival season. You can order them here. I hope Santa brings me one!

So I have decided tonights movie is going to be Divergent because I still haven't seen it! My little sister read all the books in about two days so I am assuming it is good? I'll let you know!

Oh and as well as my exam, it is also another birthday tomorrow! My little brother, Isaac, will be turning 10! Big ol' double digits! Wish I could be there buddy.

Anyway, I am off! Wish me luck!

And good luck for everyone else currently sitting exams, I feel for you!

Day 3 - Food on a student budget sucks

Hi there and welcome to another day of mine.

This morning I woke up and did a 45 minutes yoga session which I am feeling in my legs already! I live in a two story house so when I climb down those stairs it's a feeling of complete and total jelly-ness. It really is only a matter of time before I go face first...

Midday I had a bowl of rice cream and peaches for lunch and it was delish. Although it was yummy, I am so excited to be going back to my hometown in 13 days and enjoy my mum's cooking again!

Personally, cooking for yourself is like one of the worst things about moving out of home. For example, look at this fresh seafood spread back at home!

Now try and do that on a student budget! Yeah, probably not...

So I have mentioned before how much I love the youtube community and through a couple of Hannah Hart videos I realised there was a movie featuring a handful of youtubers!

So I sat down to watch Camp Takota this afternoon which is a really sweet and funny movie. It features:

Hannah Hart (myharto)
Grace Helbig (itsgrace)
Mamarie Hart (mametown)
and Sawyer Hartman (sawyerhartman).

It really made me giggle and smile so if you feel like watching a silly happy movie or love these youtubers, go watch Camp Takota!

Anyway, I am off to rewatch the entire series of Gossip Girl.
