Day 29 - My little siblings are champions

Hi there and welcome to a brag about my siblings.

Today was my brother and sister's end of school concert where awards are presented and performances are put on display.

The theme was Australian History which I automatically assumed it was going to be a snore fest but it was surprisingly entertaining!

Some cute little Aussies, singing and dancing everywhere was quite adorable...

Check out the Aussie version of Jingle Bells... Stereotypically classic!

Anyway! I just wanna brag about my siblings a little because they made me a very proud sister tonight...

Ava, aged 8, danced and sung like a trooper! Her dancing partner was missing but she soldiered on with a smile throughout the entire night.

Isaac, aged 10, is not the dancing/singing type AT ALL, but he still did a great job in his little presentation. Isaac was also elected by his fellow students to be school captain for 2015! Congrats Isaac, you are going to be a great school captain, I know it!

Mae, aged 13, experienced her very last end of school concert EVER! And she finished her primary school career very successfully...

  • The Senior Endeavour Award - 3 books
  • Graduation Presents
  • The Dux Scholarship - $200!!!

Very impressive! She has now graduated from primary school and will be heading off to high school next year. I remember how scary beginning high school was for me, but I am very confident that my sister is going to kill it!
Mae and I on her graduation night

So yeah, as you can tell I am extremely proud of all my siblings! I guess you can say they have a fabulous role model... *cough cough*

Hah, love you guys

Day 12 - I was having a productive day until...

Hi there and welcome to my productive day that quickly turned into my first ever international football game experience!

So today was a house keeping day for me (to begin with).

I was in desperate need for groceries and with only 4 days left in Perth, it seems pointless to buy lots! So my final food supply is:
  • Milk
  • Tea
  • 3 x Bananas
  • Salt and vingar shapes
  • Fish fingers
  • Alfredo pasta
My student food survival pack: $12.89

So there I was... Doing washing, cleaning dishes, tidying up, doing groceries and getting study done...

When all of a sudden my friend, Sarah, rings and offers me a ticket to go to Australia versus Ireland International Rules Football game!

Sarah: "So what are you doing right now?"
Me: "Studying and watching Big Brother."
Sarah: "Do you want to be studying?"
Me: "I probably should be but I don't really want to..."
Sarah: "Well I have a spare ticket to the footy tonight..."
Me: "YEP!"

International rules follow the rules of gaelic football which both Sarah and I were extremely unfamiliar with... But we definitely got used to it more as the game went on. I actually really enjoyed watching this kind of football!

The atmosphere was really amazing! A lot more Irish people than I thought there would be, which explained the super massive lines to the bar... Haha just kidding, I love you Ireland!

An enthusiastic group of guys in the crowd to our right started a HUGE Mexican wave, like the biggest I have ever seen. MASSIVE! It circled the stadium at least six times before security stopped it because people were throwing cups and beer and all sorts of things in the air... I wouldn't want to be the one to clean that up afterwards... Take a look at the video!

So yeah, I ended up having a fabulous day so, THANK YOU SARAH! Now I really need to get my butt into gear and get prepared for these exams... They're very close now and I am getting more and more nervous...

Oh well! They have to be done I guess! Hope you guys had a good day.

Day 4 - Study, puppies and chocolate

Hi there and welcome to my post about study, puppies and chocolate.

Today I did lots and lots of studying! I have an exam this Monday for evidence informed health practice but I wasn't actually studying for that today. Purely because I need 9% in the exam to pass the unit and the exam is multiple choice and fill in the blank... so yeah, higher education, woo!

I was studying for my business law exam which requires a lot of studying because I need to know a heap of court cases off the top of my head. It is SO draining especially since it's really not my thang... BUT on the upside, I only in 13.8% in the exam to pass the unit.

I have never been so excited for exams just so they can be over!

Because then I can be home and cuddling our new puppies! Our family dog had puppies on halloween and their little baby eyes have just started to open! I am so excited to meet them and cuddle them! Just 12 more days! Aw just look at that little face...

Today I also watched Australia thrash South Africa in the cricket. I was doing a mixture of watching and studying and facebooking but I decided I needed chocolate.

On my way to the shop, surprise surprise, I was swooped at AGAIN! Next time I am going to try and film it... None of other housemates experience the wrath of this evil bird! Why me!

Anyway, I got my favourite chocolate snack at the moment which is milk chocolate caramels by Pascall. When I was younger, I don't know why but I always thought that caramels and eclairs were like old people lollies... So yeah, I guess that makes me old now doesn't it...

So tomorrow it is my beautiful mum's birthday yay! She is turning 37 and I bought her perfume the other day, Calvin Klein's Obsession. Even though the perfume store sold me a different perfume to what I initially smelt, Obsession is really nice and my mum appreciated it so much. I am really sad I can't be with my mum tomorrow but look out mum, appreciation post coming your way!

I am also going to the movies with my friend Sarah tomorrow to watch Love, Rosie. So I will let you know how that goes and give you a little review.
